9 Septembre - Eiffel Tower

Today was a GORGEOUS day. There was not a cloud in the sky and it was the perfect day to climb the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel Tower: Does this even need to be explained? It's beautiful, world famous, and has an amazing view. Though I could do without the lines.
Champs de Mar: After climbing the Eiffel Tower we ventured to a boulangerie and fromagerie not too far and bought lots of baguettes, cheese, charcuterie, and wine to have ourselves a little picnic on the lawn. It was not real life. Food was incredible, view was incredible, company was incredible - and after all that I fell asleep in the sun and had the best nap of my life. If you come to Paris you MUST picnic on the Champs de Mar.

Jeff de Bruges: This is a gourmet chocolate shop that you will see all over Paris. However, they also have ice cream which is also quite delicious. I tried the café meringue chocolat, and the menthe chocolate. Although Berthillon was better, this was still awesome ice cream. And a great place to buy a box of chocolates for someone!

After dinner with the host fam (Margot made a delicious apple and banana compote with chantilly cream on top!) We went out to

Chez George: I LOVE this place. I was a bit obsessed with it. It's a little wine cave under a café in the 6th near rue de four. The walls are all brick and there are low ceilings with red tinted lights. There are a bunch of small wooden tables and a little bar on one end with a bar tender that is just incredibly happy and dancing along to the music. As the night goes on they played lots of oldies songs and jewish music (lol) which got all the french people (and us) up dancing on the tables. This place has a great atmosphere and is very fun!

After we left Chez George we just happened to come across Crepe D'Or which is open until 2 am! It was an amazing find and my jambon et fromage crepe was very satisfying.
